The first International Meeting of the project “Build the future , stop bullying” , funded by the European Union within the Justice Programme, Priority Combat Bullying against children at school, coordinated by Roma Capitale Municipio I Center, was held in Prague on 12-14 September 2016 , hosted by the Centre of Social Services of Prague.
The Meeting, the first of four ones planned in the project (next stages Chalkis – Athens , Barcelona, Rome), was used for deepening the acquaintance among the partners’ respective approaches to the problem of bullying , to best practices regarding policies and collaboration between stakeholders, to training methods for students, families , teachers.
The occasion was also profitable for a re-planning of the project activities in view of the objectives to be reached by autumn 2017.
- Exchange of good practices and mutual learning; production of shared recommendations for policies designed to combat bullying, dissemination of results.
- Sharing a training methodology for the prevention of bullying in schools in five countries for a total of 1110 hours of work in classroom with students, parents and teachers.
- The realization of an innovative software platform (Antibullying Radar) for monitoring the climate in schools, using quick and intuitive input from students who attend any bullying menace or bullying act.
The final act of the “Build the future, stop bullying” project will be the development of guidelines to combat bullying in schools, shared between the partner countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Czech Republic, Spain). The results will be presented at an international conference organized by the Municipio I center, that will be held in Rome in September 2017.
